Privacy policy
This policy covers pivotandanchor.com, run by Pivot Anchor Private Limited ("Pivot & Anchor", "we"). It says what we collect, why, who handles it for us, and how you can have it changed or deleted. Questions go to people@pivotandanchor.com.
What we collect
The contact form. Your name, email address, phone number and message, and the page you wrote from.
A proposal on /brief. Your name, email address, the problem you describe, the questions you ask after it, the proposal we write, and the IP address the request came from. If you ask us to call, your phone number.
Browsing the site. The pages you view, the site that sent you, your device and browser type, an approximate location from your IP address, and how fast pages load for you.
Arriving from an advert or a tagged link. The campaign details in the address (UTM parameters and advertising click ids such as Google's gclid), the page you landed on and the site that referred you.
Why we use it
To reply to you, to write your proposal, and to run the conversation and any project that follows.
To check that an enquiry comes from a person, and to limit how often the forms can be sent.
To learn which pages and campaigns bring enquiries, so we spend on the ones that work.
When you send a form, you agree to us using what you sent for these purposes. You can withdraw that agreement at any time. We do not sell your information.
Who handles it for us
These companies process information on our behalf. Some of them store it outside India, including in the United States.
Resend sends our email: the copy of your enquiry we receive, and the one-time code and proposal we send you.
HubSpot is our customer records system. Enquiries from the contact form and from /brief are stored there.
Neon hosts the Postgres database that holds your /brief session: your details, the problem, the proposal and the follow-up questions.
Vercel hosts the site. Vercel AI Gateway sends the text you write on /brief to AI models, including Anthropic's Claude, which draft the proposal and answer your follow-up questions. Vercel BotID checks form submissions for bots. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure visits and page speed.
Google Google Analytics measures visits. Google Ads measures which adverts lead to an enquiry. When you send an enquiry, your browser hashes your email address and phone number before passing them to Google Ads, so it can match the enquiry to an ad click.
Cookies and storage on your device
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights do not use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them.
pna_attr is our own cookie. It keeps the campaign details above for 90 days, so we know which campaign brought an enquiry even if you write to us a week later.
pna_brief is set when you confirm your email on /brief, so you can come back to your proposal. It lasts 30 days.
Google cookies Google Analytics sets cookies whose names start with _ga. Google Ads may set cookies whose names start with _gcl.
Your draft An unsent message in the /brief box is kept in your browser only. It reaches us when you send it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and proposals for as long as we need them to reply to you and to run any relationship that follows. Analytics data is kept for the period each tool is set to. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent, and we will stop using your information for anything that relied on it. Write to people@pivotandanchor.com.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, people@pivotandanchor.com is also where you raise a grievance. If our answer does not resolve it, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
If you live elsewhere, you have the rights your own law gives you, and the same address handles them.
Children
This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
