AI-Native Development

AI-native development is software engineering where AI tools are part of the build process from the first day, not bolted on later as a productivity experiment.

Definition

AI-native teams use models for code generation, refactoring, test writing, code review, and documentation as a default, with human engineers directing the work and accountable for the output. The workflow is designed around what AI is good at and around the places where humans still need to make the call.

Why it matters for your business

An AI-native team gets more done per engineer per week than a traditional team, which compresses cost and calendar. The compounding effect over a project is large: 14 days instead of 8 weeks for a marketing site, 10 weeks instead of 6 months for a product.

How we apply it

We use AI across the stack — generation, review, testing, docs — and we keep a senior engineer on every line that goes to production. We never let an AI push code unattended, and we never let a process slow down work an AI could safely accelerate.
